Webster’s dictionary defines the word “diet” as; 1 a: food and drink regularly provided or consumed b: habitual nourishment c: the kind and amount of food prescribed for a person or animal for a special reason d: a regimen of eating and drinking sparingly so as to reduce one’s weight <going on a diet>.
I know you came here for weight loss tips that lead to easy diets and that’s all you want to know about, but I really want to help you. Don’t worry, I will give you some easy diet plan tips, but I want to have you think about a few things first. What do you think of when you hear the word “diet”? I don’t want to speak for you, but my hunch is you think of highly restrictive eating such as a 1200 calorie diet and food that doesn’t taste very good. If I’m not spot-on with that, I bet I’m close. If not you, most people start to think negative thoughts when they hear the word “diet” and I understand completely, because when you’re fixated on what you can’t have or do, there is a lot of negative for your mind to handle and when you allow it to dwell on negative thoughts it will bring that back to you. It is just too taxing on you and nobody needs to walk around each day focused on what they can’t eat and then beat themselves up because they ate the wrong thing.
So I’m proposing that you change the way you think of the word diet, because quite honestly most diets work, people don’t work. Look at a diet as food that is fuel for your body, not a thing that you are doing to lose weight.
You could search for literally days on the internet about diet after diet, because everyone has their own idea of what a good diet should and shouldn’t have. Like I said already, most of them will probably work, it is the misplaced focus and unrealistic expectations you put on yourselves.
So what should good easy diet plans include? I don’t recommend going to the food pyramid from the US government for advice. When you are looking for an easy diet plan, some things you need to look for are a healthy balance of good carbohydrates, protein and fats. You want your carbs to be natural other than bread, but make sure it is real whole grain and there is not any sugar or, even worse, high fructose corn syrup. For protein and fat pretty much any animal meat will do and don’t worry so much about the fat, animal fat is not bad like we’ve all been taught. That’s as basic as I can get it. Just remember what Jack Lalanne said years ago, “If man made it don’t eat it”. And if you do slip or you just want to cheat, that’s fine don’t beat yourself up for it. It’s not going to kill you, just pick yourself up dust yourself off and try again, you’ll get it!
