Eat more: What? Didn’t I just say to burn more calories than you eat? Yes and eating more will help you do that… well, eating more OFTEN that is. Instead of eating three meals per day, eat five to six small meals or even snacks. Eating three meals per day actually puts you body in starvation mode and your metabolism slows down between meals and then your body stores fat and you gain weight. When you eat five to six meals or snacks throughout the day you keep your metabolism high and burning fat. I know that sounds like a lot but you are not eating a main course with two sides five to six times per day. You want these meals or snacks to be small, because your stomach is smaller than you think. It’s the size of your fist. Keep that in mind the next time you’re piling food on your plate.
Fasted Cardio: When I say cardio I’m talking about a fat burn cardio workout not the high heart rate cardiovascular workout you may be imagining. This should be something you do first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If that makes you feel weak, eat something very light and absolutely no carbs (an egg white omelet is a great option). Do a minimum of twenty minutes with a quick spike in your heart rate every five minutes.
