Starting a weight loss diet is really a simple adjustment of your mindset.  The trick to shifting from a normal diet mentality to an easy weight loss diet is to not look at it as a diet at all.  Think of it as a lifestyle of healthy eating. This will eliminate the need for those diet plans you see on TV. Now you don’t have to tell anyone you’re on a diet, you are simply eating healthier. There are many ways to do this and I will cover a few of the basics in this article.

Eat a balanced diet of carbohydrates, protein and fat.  You read that right, fat, but I’m talking about the good fat.  Fat is an essential part of your body and every single cell in your body has a lining of fat. This should help you understand why eliminating it is unhealthy. Getting the minerals and vitamins your body needs will come mostly from fruits and vegetables.  Your muscles also require a healthy amount of protein to burn energy and fat.

The most basic balanced diet is to take your total caloric intake for the day and divide that into three groups;

Fats – 30% of your daily calorie intake.  Some good sources of healthy fat are from nuts, vegetables such as avocados and fish, cold fresh water fish are a great source

Protein – 30% of your diet.  A few sources are from dairy, nuts, beans, fish, eggs and lean animal meat.  Lean meat because you don’t want to get too much fat or too much cholesterol which is high in the fattier meats.

Carbohydrates – 40% of diet.  Good sources are fruit vegetables and whole grains.  It is very important to keep these at the lower end of the recommendations.  Avoid processed carbs such as sugar and starchy carbs like potatoes.  One tip I always follow it to eat the carbs in the first half to two thirds of the day slowly tapering them off.  You don’t want to go to bed on a stomach full of unburned energy because it will just be stored for later use.

You can adjust these percentages as needed for your goals.  If you desire a bit more muscle, which will turn this into a fast easy weight loss diet, increase your protein intake and drop the fats and carbs proportionately.  Remember that every pound of muscle burns 50 calories per day.  You don’t have to worry about bulking up either as the natural female body wont bulk up without massive amounts of supplements. These easy weight loss tips will help you manage your weight in the best way possible.
